About the Department
Department of Child health / Paediatric Nursing study the care of neonates, children and adolescence in the programme of B.Sc. Nursing students based on the RGUHS and Indian nursing council curriculum. The department actively participates in training the students to perform the assessment of healthy and ill children, learning the difference between the adult and child health care, render service for the sick neonates, children and do research in the field of child health nursing. Well established laboratory equipped with models, mannequins, instruments, and audio-visual aids facilitate teaching-learning process. Experienced Nursing faculty members are an added strength to the department. Our department offers value-based course on neonatal Nursing.
Vision
- We the faculty of department of Child Health Nursing believe that child health nursing is service rendered by professional nurses with knowledge, skill and attitude based on art and scientific knowledge to help the children, family and community by focusing the diseases, preservation and restoration of health and rehabilitation.
- We believe that faculty will prepare nursing students to render competency-based quality care in various Paediatric settings in accordance with legal and ethical aspects.
